Below you will find stories and history from neighbors on the ridge. Many of these stories are from folks that were born and raised on the Ridge. Some of our neighbors have passed on but their stories will remain with us to enjoy.

Dancing On Skyline: Pat Brady Krueger & Karen (Olson) Siechen share their memories of the Skyline Barn Dance. The barn collapsed during the winter storm in early January 2004.
Fred Krueger/ A Family Portrait: The Krueger Family acquired property off of Old Cornelius Pass in 1887. A family member recounts a history of their family on the hill.
Pioneer Height Church - -----This article was given to Mel Jenkins by David Fishers granddaughter, Grace Norris. She writes, "David and Annie Fisher had only one child, my mother Mabel, married to Ernest Waters. I am the second of eleven children born to them. David was born in 1868 so he was 59 when this story began. He died in 1958, just past 90 years of age.
Berry Picker Causes Fire: Lorene Dunsmoor recalls the time a fire was started by berry pickers in the late 30's or early 40's. People barely escaped with their lives as she depicts in this story.
Restoration of The Cornelius Pass Rail Line: A history of The Cornelius Pass Railroad line including the recent acquisition by Willamette & Pacific Railroad Line.
Memories of the Way Things Were: Reminisce with Margaret Pauly Tate as she talks about her grandparents who moved to this area in the late 1800's. The built a log cabin on Pauly Road off of McNamee. She talks about the school, church, railroad, indians, lumber mill, and farming in the area.
Reminiscing with Vernon Munson: Vernon talks about his grandfather, Armund, who came by ship to Portland in the 1870's. He talks about fishing back, family ties, and growing up on Skyline.
Remembering Bill Mahoney: Barbara LaMorticella remembers Bill Mahoney, the Ridge's chief eccentric, neighborhood mechanic and volunteer firefighter who passed away on April 26, 2004.
